Access grants

Exceptions on one account. A grant names one account, one widget and one subject, and gives that subject a different right there to the one the defaults would give. The subject is either a role level or a named person, never both.

Which right wins

A grant naming the person wins, on that account and that widget.
If there is none, a grant naming their role level wins.
If there is neither, the role-level default applies.

The baseline those grants override is the widget permission defaults register — twenty-two widget kinds by four role levels, in the Access part of the rail.

Recorded here, not yet read there. Strategic Account Management holds its own grants in code today, so a grant added, changed or revoked on this screen is a recorded configuration change and does not alter what an account team sees. Moving ownership of the defaults and the grants alike to this application needs programme agreement and a change to Strategic Account Management — that is open question SA-02, on the Open questions screen.
